One thing we have learned is that bee keeping is not as easy as it looks. We will freely admit that we have made many mistakes with bees, but we continue to learn from others who are very good at beekeeping. One of those is the family behind Smoke n Honey Bee Co. They have placed some hives on our property and helped us with our hives. They are passionate about bees and have many hives in various locations. With lots of bees and hives comes lots and lots of honey! So while we only have a few hives and limited honey each year, they have a much larger supply! And they pack in plastic squeeze bottles which are leakproof and much easier to ship. Honey Hog Farm honey will continue to be bottled by hand in glass jars and only available for local pickup, but Smoke n Honey will be shippable! The quality of honey is superb and we highly recommend.
